Easy-ish Two Heddle Tea Towel Rigid Heddle Pattern

CA$8.99

Want to learn how to thread and weave tea towels with 2 heddles? And weave a pattern without using pick-up sticks? Try this “easy-ish” pattern. I haven’t listed this as a beginner pattern because it does use 2 heddles BUT if you are comfortable with a single heddle and looking for a tea towel pattern using 2 heddles, this is a good pattern to start with. The only reason I haven’t listed this as an “easy” 2 heddle project is that it contains 460(!) ends, each of which need to be threaded through a slot or hole. That’s a lot of ends. You don’t need to be overwhelmed though because I’ve included videos to help you through the threading process. I promise that if you are confident with one heddle and want to learn to weave with 2 heddles, this is a good pattern to start with.

Pattern requires a 24” loom, 2 10 dent reeds, 4 shuttles and all the usual weaving paraphernalia.

Makes 2 towels about 19” x 28”

I’ve included a couple colour combinations at the end of the pattern.
