Flyss & Lace Shawl — A Rigid Heddle Lace Weaving Class

This elegant summer shawl looks like something off a multi-shaft floor loom — but you can absolutely weave it on your rigid heddle! With its flowing spot lace pattern, this project is dramatic without being fussy, thanks to the subtle sheen and crispness of a linen and silk blend yarn.
Using two pick-up sticks (don’t worry, we’ll walk you through it!), you’ll create a travelling spot lace effect that mimics much more complex loom-controlled patterns. One stick will be reinserted as needed to shift the lace across the fabric, while the other remains in the weave…but travels!
